Making Strides, something to be proud of.

June 25, Gay Pride Day

I am not proud merely because I am gay, that would be like being proud to have a heartbeat. I am proud of my fellow brothers in sisters who have made great strides to change the way society treats us. I am proud of my contemporaries who are not afraid to stand up in a hating crowd and say "yes I am." I am proud that we are people who will continue to look up in the face of adversity because we can't look back. We must keep marching on in order to make a difference.
You don't have to be gay, lesbian, bi, transgendered, or even questioning, all you have to do is try to accept and love your fellow humans as much as you love yourself, maybe more.
No matter what the laws say, it will remain, so get used to it.

Acknowledge.
Learn.
Accept.
Love.
